McFarlane Toys Unveils DC Comics Action Figure Line

McFarlane Toys Superman Action Figure

Back in February 2019 McFarlane Toys announced that they had entered into a licensing deal with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to produce collectibles based on the DC Universe of characters. The three-year licensing deal was announced to begin in 2020, with McFarlane Toys set to release 6 inch to 12 inch ultra-posable action figures and accessories.

We now have official images of those action figures, with three Superman figures amongst the first wave available.

The Superman action figures included are Superman (Unchained Armor), Superman (Classic Costume), and Superman (Animated Series). Other figures include Batman (Animated Series), Batman (Detective Comics version), Hellbat Armor Batman, and the Green Arrow (The CW version).

Each action figure, which are expected to be 6 inches tall, will come with a collector card and cost around US$20.

We will let you know when pre-ordering is available.

I like all of the Superman figures that they are showing, but no Routh Kingdom Come Superman? Or Hoechlin Superman?
I hope that they make figures for both of them soon.

The classic costume figure looks really good I gotta say. His S actually looks right and doesn’t look like a decal or an amateur paint job. I also like that they keep his cape right at the tops of his boots. I wouldn’t want him with a puny cape but I just think it balances with the costume better when it’s not touching his heels or the ground. More dyanmic and less heavy looking IMO.

I may have to get in on this pre-order.

I was actually wondering when will mcfarlane toys present their new line of DC figures. So far…I’m really impressed and the figures look fantastic. I hope though, that they release a Batman 1989 Batmobile and/or Batcave that is compatible for 6 inch figures. That would be a treat. Oh Lord….let my prayers be heard.

Hmmm… I’m a bit disappointed. The “animated Series” figures look good, but the others look pretty generic. Nothing really special about them. Maybe they will look better in real life?

We all know that the Big Mac in marketing pictures look way better than the real thing 😉

It doesn’t apply to all figure marketing though
