In the latest Superman Homepage Member Poll we asked you the following question:

Should Superman be married with kid(s)?

This was an interesting result. 41% said “Yes” that Superman should be a husband and a father, with an additional 18% only wanting it to be so in the comic books.

As I often say, if DC can afford to publish more than one Superman title then why does it necessarily have to be either/or. You can have a book where he’s a father and another book taking place in the past that’s basically in the classic set up before Lois knows.

I felt this way about Spider-Man to. Have a book where he’s a young guy but then have the Spider-Girl book going where you can see him as an older man in another stage of his life.

It’s nice, but just might give several unconcistencies in stories and probably would become a mess. This Supes has lived in 2 different universes and a pre-marriage comic would take place in a different one. Can you imagine what would mean for new readers? Long time ones are used to both versions, newer ones not. But it would bring back the original suit….mmmm….maybe it’s not so bad anyway.
