I’m sorry for her loss. she is my 1st Lois Lane.
Chris Reeve showed us that a man can fly. Margot Kidder showed us why. RIP my Lois Lane. When you see Chris, tell him we miss him. Flight of angels sing thee to thine rest.
This is truly a sad day for us Superman and Lois Lane fans. My deepest sympathies to Margot Kidder’s family. May Margot rest in peace. We will miss you Margot.
Amen i say, Kal-Ed. Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder were my first Clark and Lois. They are now in eternity along with George Reeves and Noel Neill from the classic 50’s TV show.
It’s a sad day for Superman fans everywhere as Superman: The Movie is set to celebrate its 40th Anniversary.
They were the Lois and Clark of our generation and many more. I always thought that icons and legends such as her would never leave. Same as I thought with David Bowie, Prince and Robin Williams.
RIP Margot 🙁 Still the best.
“You’ve got me? Who’s got you?!” Both my 1st Superman and my 1st Lois are gone now. ..and my birthday is tomorrow so I don’t know maybe I’m feeling a bit of my own mortality in this to. Sad day for Superman fans. My favorite scene of her as Lois will always be the flying scene with the beauitful music in the background with Lois asking Can you read my mind?
She was my Lois Lane.
For me, she is the first actress I saw who portrayed Lois Lane. Rest In Peace Margot Kidder. I’ll always remember your great on-screen presence.
🙁 Rest in peace Margot Kidder, you will be missed.
I’m sorry to make everyone cry, but right now, Chris and Margot, Superman and Lois, are back together up there 🙁
Don’t worry. We are all sad. It hit just as hard as Carrie Fisher’s passing.
For me I was a very lonely kid. I suffered severe asthma, was constantly getting colds and infections, also had severe allergies and back then medication was not what it is now. I was constantly at the doctors, I missed out on many activities and had to remain in the house a lot more than most kids. So this is where my eternal love of cinema was born. And though I have many films I hold dear to my heart from my childhood, none effected me more than Superman: The Movie, and its sequels, yes even 3 and 4. There… Read more »
I am truly sorry for your loss of your hero JonKent79. To lose someone who was an insperation and who was loved is a painful thing to go through. I hope that this brings some comfort in saying that Margot meant so much to so many people, and that she was truly blessed to have a fan like you. She will be deeply missed by all of Superman and Lois Lane fans.
