Here I am thinking you had to be an exceptional artist to do storyboards. Looks like that’s not the case after all. Good news for me, as I’m a terrible artist, but wish to work on a storyboard myself sometime…
You and I both
Yep – different directors and projects expect different things (I think animated films generally have more detailed ones but not always), but all the director really needs is to see a visual conception idea to shoot from (so they don’t miss a shot they really need for a scene). Some folks like to go all-out in their storyboards, but it’s not necessary.
