“Krypton” – “Hour Glass” Trailer

Syfy has released another new TV spot for the upcoming “Krypton” TV series, this one showing how Superman’s cape is a key indicator to the success of Seg-El’s mission.

#Superman’s legacy is under siege. Only an El can save it.

What if Superman never existed? Set two generations before the destruction of Superman’s home planet, Krypton follows Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe), the legendary Man of Steel’s grandfather, who is faced with a life and death conflict – save his home planet or let it be destroyed in order to restore the fate of his future grandson. With Krypton’s leadership in disarray and the House of El ostracized, Seg finds himself in a difficult position. He must redeem his family’s honor and protect the ones he loves while being challenged by familiar DC characters Brainiac (Blake Ritson) and Earthly time-traveler Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos).

The TV series is inspired by classic comic book stories including “All-Star Superman,” “Superman: The Animated Series,” and “Superman: Secret Origins”.

“Krypton” is produced by Warner Horizon Television. The pilot is written by David Goyer (Man of Steel) with Ian Goldberg (Once Upon A Time, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles). Goyer also acts as executive produce through his company Phantom Four with Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow), who serves as showrunner. Colm McCarthy (Peaky Blinders) directed the pilot.

The cast includes: Cameron Cuffe (The Halcyon) as Seg-El, Georgina Campbell (After Hours) as Lyta Zod, Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones) as Val-El, Elliot Cowan (Da Vinci’s Demons) as Daron Vex, Ann Ogbomo (Wonder Woman) as Primus Alura Zod, Rasmus Hardiker (Your Highness) as Kem, Wallis Day (The Royals) as Nyssa Vex and Aaron Pierre (Britannia) as Dev-Em.

“Krypton” premieres on TV at 10.00pm on March 21 on Syfy.

Yeah the first thing I thought of when I realized the cape was going to be Seg-El’s gauge for how the future is being affected was the picture of Marty with his brother and sister fading out.
