I saw both cuts and I love Whedon’s Cut so much. I believe Snyder made a good story just not a great one. I am appalled that Whedon is given so much hate that so many are bashing him, after all the good stuff he has made.

I take satisfaction that Whedon’s Cut is canon, from the beautiful colors, tone in other films like Aquaman and Shazam as well as the resurrection of the John Williams theme.

But fans that love the Snyder Cut can enjoy their films, I will not bash that.

It was lose-lose for Whedon. He had to take over from someone who was so stylistically different from himself, and (probably) under studio mandates to give them their own Avengers. Maybe if he’d started at square one and built his own Justice League from the ground up things would have been different.

I don’t know if you’ve been reading about whedons on set behavior but I don’t feel bad for him In the least. He sounds like a major jerk with an over inflated ego. I’m glad you enjoy his stuff, but I find his writing to be incredibly cringy and juvenile. Of all the MCU entries I enjoy his entries the least and I think the only reason those films were good was more because of Fiege. Whdeons writing and ‘humor’ is not for me.

I both watched – and defended – Whedon’s cut as “Good enough… for what it is” more than most people between 2017 and three weeks ago. Having finally seen the movie we were SUPPOSED to have gotten in the first place… I have said my Very Last Kind Words with regard to Joss Whedon’s cut of “Justice League”. That’s the most polite thing I can say about it. I have no more words of either support or defense, because it deserves no support and is far beyond defense. The movie starts with Superman’s face trying to slide off of his… Read more »

Back in 2017, the theatrical cut gave me one of the best times I ever had in a movie theater. I loved it, I defended it. I still miss some of its dialoguein the Snyder Cut. And I’ll probably always have fond memories of it and think it has some great moments. And it’s possible I might never watch it again. The Snyder Cut is better. Better effects, better action, better use of the characters, better scene with Clark and Lois on the farm. I’m not fond of the dark future sequel hooks, but that aside, I really like the… Read more »
