“Justice League” Continues to Fly High Internationally

While fans in the USA don’t seem to have embraced “Justice League” as well as perhaps Warner Bros. had hoped, the movie is doing much better in international markets.

Domestically the film placed second behind Disney/Pixar’s “Coco”, which scored the fourth-best Thanksgiving opening of all time behind “Toy Story 2”, “Frozen” and “Moana”. “Justice League” took in $59.7 million from 4,051 theaters for the five-day holiday frame (Wednesday-Sunday) and $40.7 million for the three-day weekend, a 57% decline.

Internationally however, the film was still the No. 1 film at the box office, taking in $72.2 million from 66 markets to pass the $300 million mark, bringing its global tally to $481.3 million so far.

I think I read somewhere that it is now above the $500M. So for roughly 10 days, half a billion is pretty good, and not the dumpster fire that the internet wants you to believe.

Exactly, but people will always have an excuse. It should have made 1 billion, blah blah blah….yea it would have been nice but it hasn’t. It will still turn a profit…just not as much as we (or WB) have hoped it would.

I think it has good chance of reaching 700 million worldwide….combining with WW would be around 1.5 Billion for DCEU. I don’t think DCEU is dead

Fortunately for them they weren’t polluted with toxic movie reviews before the movie was released. That $481mill doesn’t include yesterdays take.
