I really don’t see how this could or will happen.

I don’t either but I think it could be fun but only if it were a team-up and not a hero vs. hero thing.

Yeah, I’ve never been a fan of the whole hero vs hero concept either. I just don’t think it’s a good idea for these two franchises to meet or for them to cross over to any other franchises for that matter. Maybe a cross over with the tv universe and have the two Supermen team up against a villain like the anti monitor? But even then I don’t know if that could work. I do remember seeing fan art of the two versions getting along like they were friends. I thought that was a nice picture.

As big as this idea is, there is just to many things going against this from actually happening. The two companies would have to agree to do this film, but then which company gets more profit from it? I guess they could split the difference, but what if it does poorly? Who would be responsible if that happens? I know that they could do a universe crossover, but the way these characters are made.the styles of their universes are just to different. Then there is the debates between DC, and Marvel. The debates on which company does a better job… Read more »

This would be a TRUE comic book fan’s dream. I Agree with MattComics comment, would be a fun TEAM-UP & not a VS movie, however sadly it would never happen since Movie rights & licenses are litigated with more complications I believe than the comics DC team up with Marvel. Just like Star Trek TEAMING up with The Star Wars Universe, It just won’t happen.

They can always do a team up as an offside comedy sketch on SNL or some such

In a recent interview with Crave Online, Kevin Feige characterized the mudslinging between Marvel and DC fans as “ridiculous” and even indicated he was looking forward to seeing Justice League. His most interesting comment, however, was that he was going to be having dinner with Geoff Johns. Whether or not they regularly have dinner together, don’t tell me that one of them would not broach the idea of a crossover, especially when a lot of money could be made. When there is a will, there is a way. Let’s hope these men talk regularly. How I would love to be… Read more »

They both started out working for Dick Donner and are major fans of STM; they’re old friends and former co-workers with similar influences. Incidentally, I personally have no interest in a team up, but fast-forward to an Amagalm Universe series and a WB/Disney collaboration and I’m totally down for that.

I wouldn’t rule out that this might happen someday – if there’s money to be made, then it’s pretty certain to be done sooner or later, and a JL/Avengers crossover would make HUGE bank. It’d just be a question of how to divvy up the spoils … And whether the studios would invest enough in the project to ensure quality.
