Just Landed on Amazon! New Superman Book: “Man of Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow”

I am thrilled to announce the availability of my new book, “Man of Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow: A Calendar of Significant Birthdays, Premieres, and Milestones in Superman’s History”, now available for purchase in hardcover on Amazon.

This book is a deeply personal chronological journey that invites you to explore the expansive mythology of Superman. Using a unique calendar-based approach, I have aimed to delve into nearly nine decades of creative endeavours, pivotal moments, and the countless individuals who have shaped the Last Son of Krypton into an iconic hero. We navigate Superman’s history month by month from January through December.

You’ll discover that this is far more than just a catalog of dates. My purpose with this project was to craft an exploration of the nature of myth, legacy, and collaborative creativity. The book is designed to reveal Superman not merely as a character, but as a dynamic cultural phenomenon that consistently reinvents itself across various mediums and generations. As you read, you’ll see how Superman remains an enduring symbol of hope, truth, justice, and inspiration. Ultimately, it is a “roadmap to understanding how myths are born, how they evolve, and how they continue to shape the world long after their creators have departed”.

The book opens with a Foreword by Aaron Smolinski, who holds the unique distinction of appearing in Superman films across multiple decades, starting with playing baby Clark Kent in “Superman: The Movie”. He also appeared in “Superman III” and “Man of Steel”. His involvement highlights the intergenerational nature of Superman’s cinematic legacy, illustrating how actors can grow up within the mythology they helped create.

This comprehensive journey celebrates the core truth of the character: Superman’s enduring appeal stems not from his extraordinary powers, but from his unwavering commitment to human values and his capacity to inspire.

The collation of this material has been a labor of love over many years. I hope you enjoy joining me on this celebration of a character who embodies humanity’s highest aspirations for truth, justice, and hope.

The book is available now, just in time for the holiday season!
