Lynda Carter, the actress who brought Wonder Woman to life on TV, has been confirmed as appearing throughout Season 2 of “Supergirl”, where she’ll be playing the President of the United States of America.

Back in March the executive producers of “Supergirl” had indicated that they had wanted Carter to play the role in Season 1 of the show, but that it hadn’t worked out due to scheduling issues…

“We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter. We couldn’t work out her schedule. Next year,” Greg Berlanti said, before revealing her role in the series. “All right, she’s the female president of the United States.”

Lynda Carter will make her first appearance on “Supergirl” in episode three of Season 2, and will continue to appear throughout the season.

Beyond playing Wonder Woman, Carter also appeared in an episode of “Smallville” back in 2007 as Chloe Sullivan’s mother, Moira.
