Jump On Board the Superman Comics Books with “Superman Vol. 1: The Unity Saga: Phantom Earth”

Are you a Superman fan who wants to start reading the Man of Steel’s comic book adventures but don’t know where to start? Then grab yourself a copy of “Superman Vol. 1: The Unity Saga: Phantom Earth”.

Creator Brian Michael Bendis (New Avengers, Ultimate Spider-Man, Jessica Jones) and Ivan Reis (Justice League, Aquaman) begin an incredible new era for the Man of Steel in “Superman Vol. 1: The Unity Saga: Phantom Earth”.

It’s hard enough for Superman to fight the endless fight when the two people he loves the most in the world – his wife, Lois, and their son, Jonathan – are traveling the universe, unable to communicate with him. But it’s Superman’s job to keep the Earth safe, no matter what.

It’s a huge job under the best of circumstances, but when the entire planet is mysteriously transplanted into the Phantom Zone, the prison dimension built to hold Krypton’s most dangerous criminals, it may be more than Superman and even the Justice League can handle.

Not only is the Phantom Zone itself threatening to tear the Earth apart, but it’s also home to the worst killers in history – all of whom have a personal vendetta against Superman. The newest prisoner, Rogol Zaar, the man who killed Krypton, is ready to unite these scattered foes into an army… an army ready to strike at Earth at its most vulnerable!

Scheduled to be released on Wednesday, March 5, the 168 page “Superman Vol. 1: The Unity Saga: Phantom Earth” hardcover collects Superman #1-6.

Bendis’ Superman is probably one of the comics that Superman haters would use to make the argument that Superman is a terrible, and boring character… because the story is just straight up trash.

Tomasi & Jergens completely revamped, reshaped & revitalized the Man of Steel to which the New52 destroyed the very aspect of what made the character so heroic & virtuous. Not to mention bringing back the relationship between Lois & Clark PLUS adding a Son into the mix, making Superman into a dutiful father & evolving him even further.

We as a Superman fan community enjoyed these adventures for over 2 years, even bringing back to reading/collecting comics again…
Then it takes Bendis around 3-6 months to screw it all up. >_<

Yep. All that just torn the hell down in favor of “Bendis is coming!”

LOL. I still can’t believe …actually yes I can that DC had the unmitigated gall to even slightly compare getting Bendis to when Jack Kirby came to DC.
