July 28, 2016: Jerry Siegel’s Daughter to Speak at Cleveland Symposium

jerry-joanne-lauraLaura Siegel, the daughter of Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel, will be a special guest speaker at a symposium being held at the Cleveland Public Library in September to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Wonder Woman.

The Wonder Woman Symposium kicks off on Thursday, September 22, at 6:00pm with a presentation by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti at the Cleveland Public Library. They will focus on their roles as the artist and writer, respectively, of such popular women-driven titles as “Harley Quinn,” “Power Girl” and “Starfire,” and talk about the current explosion of strong female superheroes at DC, Marvel and other comic companies.

Laura Siegel, who will appear on Saturday, September 24 at 2:00pm, is a former correspondent for CNN, she has won over 100 awards including 13 Emmys and eight New York Festival Awards for her journalism work.
