July 13, 2016: DC Designer Series – Superman and Lois Lane Statue

ComicBookResources.com has been granted an exclusive first look at the upcoming DC Collectibles DC Designer Series: Superman and Lois Lane statue by Gary Frank.

Standing at 16.5 inches tall, the statue is based on Gary Frank’s variant cover for Superman: Secret Origins #3. Superman and Lois are depicted in a mid-flight embrace hovering over the famous Daily Planet globe.

The statue will retail for around US$250. We’ll let you know when it is available for pre-order.

Wow, that is AWESOME! The Superman suit with the red trunks as his creators intended really looks the best, and it shows again here — perfect balance of colors and design! Love the Daily Planet stand, too! And not that Reeve didn’t look like Superman, but this Superman statue seems to have a more “Superman-ish” face than the way Gary Frank drew Superman — Gary Frank drew Superman’s face based off of Reeve. All fine and cool, but I am of the opinion that Reeve looks like Superman; Superman does not look like Christopher Reeve, if that makes sense. So… Read more »

Would buy it. But times are rough of late, and every penny saved is a penny earned.
