Jewish-American Hall of Fame Medal Honors Superman’s Creators

Superman’s creators, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster will be inducted into the Jewish-American Hall of Fame in November 2021.

To commemorate the occasion, a Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster medal has been struck by The Highland Mint, from a design by Eugene Daub (obverse) and Mel Wacks (reverse).

Limited to quantities of 85 bronze, 52 pure silver, and 28 gold-plated silver, the 49 x 47mm medal features portraits, Jerry Siegel (1914-1996) and Joe Shuster (1914-1992) as they work on a drawing of Superman. The reverse side features a Fist and POW! punching through The Jewish-American Hall of Fame logo.

The induction ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 14, from 11.00am-1.00pm PT on Zoom, and is open to the public. To obtain a free invitation, contact Mel Wacks, Director of the JAHF, at directorjahf@yahoo.com.

Produced by the Highland Mint, each 3-ounce medal is available in limited quantities of 150 bronze ($50), 75 pure silver ($200) and 35 gold-plated pure silver ($250) along with a serial number on the medal’s edge and a certificate of authenticity.
