Deadline.com reports that Jessica Meraz (Major Crimes) has been cast in the role of villain Menagerie for the second half of Season 4 of “Supergirl”.
Pamela Ferrer (aka Menagerie) is described as a major recurring role for Meraz, with her character set to appear on “Supergirl” when the show returns (after the “Elseworlds” crossover) on Sunday, January 20, 2019.
First introduced in Joe Kelly’s classic “Action Comics #775” (March 2001), Menagerie was recruited by Manchester Black to be part of his team known as “The Elite”. In this story, Pamela was bonded to an alien creature known as “symbeasts”, which she controlled to be used as weapons or to assemble into other shapes.
The upcoming live-action version of the character is described as a “jewel thief who doesn’t mind hurting people”.
