When it comes to making a statement in the NBA Playoffs, sometimes your footwear does the talking. Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum took this approach for Game 1, arriving with a pair of eye-catching custom Superman-themed Tatum 3 sneakers that turned heads in the tunnel.

The unique kicks were created by renowned sneaker artist Mache (@mache275), who shared images of his creation on Instagram. “Had the great opportunity to create a special pair of custom #superman themed Tatum 3s for @jaytatum0. May have caught him carrying them walking the tunnel before game 1 tonight,” Mache wrote in his post.
The custom design showcases meticulous attention to detail, with the “Superman” movie emblem prominently displayed and carefully crafted elements that pay homage to the Man of Steel.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen NBA players use their footwear as a form of self-expression during the playoffs, but Tatum’s Superman customs certainly rank among the most striking examples this season.
