Really? Seriously why? I just don’t understand why there has to be a film based on a videogame where Superman turns bad. I mean how many more times do they have to make Superman evil? I want an animated movie about a hopeful good Superman, not a tyrannical twisted one. I’ll probably watch it anyway out of curiosity but I really hope that there is a good version of Superman that shows up to stop the bad one like in the first Injustice game.

Superman2878, I have felt that way for a very long time. I never posted my feelings before as I know the game and the comic books were a hit, and I guess I felt like I was the only one to feel that way. Didn’t want to get into a rant against the wave, I guess. I had hoped that the Maxwell Lord mind takeover would be the end of these kind of things. But no.

Doesn’t ANYONE know how to write a good, interesting story about Superman anymore?

Yeah, like how many more times can they keep telling a story about evil Superman? Surely there are other Superman stories that can be made into an animated film. Like the Death of Clark Kent for example. We’ve never seen Conduit in animated form yet. Or how about the Trial of Superman? If I remember correctly that story is about an alien race putting Superman on trial for Krypton’s destruction. Superman’s team( Superboy, Supergirl,Eradicator, and Steel)had to help him in that story. Or how about a Superman red, Superman blue animated film? Superman split into two separate identical versions of… Read more »

I would also like to see an animated movie where Lex wears his version of a Superman suit from the Rebirth comics. It would be really interesting to see Lex try and replace Superman as his own version of the Man of Steel, and have a Superman vs Superman Lex confrontation at the end for the title of Metropolis’s greatest protector and Earth’s greatest hero.

They really, really should’ve done Superman Blue (the post-Crisis version) by this point. It was a big deal back then and it’s an interesting twist. You can do a lot with the concept, even if you remove it from the source material.

Much as we don’t like it, the mainstream responds to this for whatever reason and it’s pretty low-effort. Why go for a potentially underperforming good story, when you have a shocking hook instead? I find Injustice absolutely insulting for most of the characters involved in it, but as you said yourself, general audiences responded to it.

He. Why indeed!? I mean who needs an animated movie when you can play both games with cinematic cut through scenes!? Unless if they include new scenes and probably a redemption arc then that’s another story. Hmmm….maybe they will include…He-Man!! 😉

DC and WB seem to love non-canon, elseworld evil Superman. They just love showing Superman being evil while Batman is the savior of the world. I’ll make sure to boycott this nonsense.

I like how Superman has to either be completely inoffensive and forgettable or a genocidal monster to be feared and stopped, usually by Batman. No middle ground.

Boring. I’ll definitely be giving that one a miss.
