According to Deadline.com, James Gunn will conduct in-person screen tests for “Superman: Legacy” later this month.

Reported to be taking place some time between June 17-20, the in-person auditions will see Gunn and co-CEO of DC Studios, Peter Safran meet with actors hoping to win the roles of Clark Kent/Superman and Lois Lane.

Actors said to be testing for the roles include Nicholas Hoult, David Corenswet and Tom Brittney. While Emma Mackey, Rachel Brosnahan and Phoebe Dynevor are amongst those said to be testing for Lois Lane.

So far it is believed that these actors, and others, have submitted audition tapes, with Gunn calling in those he was impressed with to meet in person later this month.

Further auditions for supporting characters will likely take place once a decision has been made on the lead characters.

“Superman: Legacy” is scheduled to be released July 11, 2025.
