Animator Ben Bromley has put together an animated short film on how he thinks things should have been done with the recent Superman films.
well he did actually save people in MOS (remember he saved those oil rig workers, the kids on the bus when he was young, he saved Lois Lane from the Kryptonian Droid & as she fell in the escape pod from the atmosphere, saving his mother from Zod, saving the soldier that fell out of the helicopter, saving the General’s futile knife fight attempt with Fiora,, The family in the subway at the end of the movie against Zod) & in BvS (Lois Lane from the Terrorist Leader, TheLatin American person from the building on fire, The stranded people on the… Read more »
I think a lot of it is in how those scenes are thoughtlessly choreographed. I mean he purposely shoves Zod through a 7-11 in Smallville and considering that they went through the doorway that means anybody standing around or near the counter was probably obliterated. Not to mention some poor schmoe getting gas when the tanks blew up.
this was pretty great, lol. i want to learn to use toon boom at some point…but i digress. i have a thought though, if he prevented himself from dying, wouldn’t that prevent himself from going back to prevent himself from dying?
When his resurrected self travels to the past he becomes part of the past once there but it does mean that if the past self that his resurrected self saves doesn’t die then when his resurrected self returns to the future he’s entering a new future and has effectively made himself a doppelganger from a previous version of the future that is now gone. Unless maybe they fuse together Superman Reborn style because time is correcting the anomaly.
..or we could repeat to ourselves “it’s just a show and we should really just relax.” ;P
“i have a thought though, if he prevented himself from dying, wouldn’t that prevent himself from going back to prevent himself from dying?” That’s a good question. I guess it’s like in back to the future where if two versions of the same person from different times could cause a time paradox.
That was quite entertaining. Well done.
