Can’t help but notice Henry’s rocking some serious S curl (even turned the right way) which they never let him do in the movies.

You bet MattC. I noticed that right away. But I am steamed at the way this is going. Superman should still be at the fore front of this entire franchise. I think there’s going to be a lot said at the end of this week. For myself, I will be in the theater at 11am this Friday. First day opening time slot.

Agreed. I️ hope that superman is set up to become the leader of the League in future installments. I’m curious also to see if we get any announcements for a sequel in the coming weeks. I️ was disappointed to hear that nothing is being worked on at the moment. Also don’t know why they wouldn’t incorporate Henry’s natural wavy superman like hair into the films. Seems glaringly obvious.

I guess they felt the S curl would be to Chris Reeve but IMO it always makes more sense to me that he wear his hair loose as Superman and more combed as Clark. Clark is the one spending part of his time in an office setting or walking down the street while Superman is flying and getting into battles. Just seems more plausible that he slick his hair back into place after an adventure than applying some high-shine pomade at super-speed before going to the rescue.

..yeah I’ve thought way too much about Superman’s hair.

Haha you’re not the only one who has devoted time to thinking about his hair. The Man of Steel miniseries by john Byrne got it right and had superman with the natural wavy look and Clark with the slicked hair.

Based on some early reviews of the film, I doubt there will be any Superman sequels. Seems to be 50/50 as far as the critics go with half skewering the film and half enjoying it for what it is. Although very few seem to love it. And the bulk of the praise is still saved for WW it seems.

It’s been hard to gauge the response because like you said, people aren’t exactly in love with it, but they’re saying it’s a step in the right direction because they nail the characters. Sequels will depend on how the audience responds. Suicide Squad is getting a sequel because while the movie had many major problems, people seemed to really respond to the characters. Myself included. One thing is for sure though is that the studio has interfered yet again. Keep hearing that it feels rushed and things that seemed like they should have been fleshed out aren’t because they had… Read more »

Sadly no, execs never learn until they get fired. In the end money talks.

The next 3 or 4 days were going to be reading and hearing a lot about this movie. There are already some bad and unflattering comparisons to ZS previous outings. We will see.

I’ve seen the movie already. And all I will say about it without spoiling anything is… I’m superb (no pun intended).

The opening and closing shots (especially the closing) will make you smile ear to ear!

No offense, but I disagree. This is my thoughts on it;

“You’re so concerned with squabbling for the scraps from Longshank’s table that you’ve missed your God-given right to something better.” (“You’re” in this case stands for some of the fandom)
