Henry Cavill Wants a Supergirl Team-Up

In an interview with MTV International, the cast of the “Justice League” movie discuss some of the deleted scenes not included in the final cut of the film, while also throwing out ideas for additional characters they’d like to see included in any future movies.

Contrary to some false rumors that were circulating around, Supergirl is NOT in the “Justice League” movie out in theatres now.

In another interview the cast is asked by French site Allocine questions about their fellow cast members:

It would have to be a different supergirl for their movie. I wonder who they would cast? Or they could do a multiverse movie where supergirl and her cousin travel to Cavill’s superman universe where the two supermen and supergirl team up to battle against a major villain while at the same time Cavill’s superman searches for his own cousin so she could be supergirl in their world. After he finds her, the four of them( Benoinst, Hoechlin, Cavill, and unknown actress to the supergirl role) team up for a battle against the villain of the movie. Maybe Cavill’s version… Read more »

We’ve since learned that there was nothing to this rumor, but I really liked the idea we heard a few months back of a MoS sequel featuring Supergirl based on Geoff Johns’ Brainiac arc. I thought that storyline was phenomenal, and we could finally get Brainiac then.

The easiest way to give a movie Supergirl some distinction is to actually make her a younger character more in her teens kind of like the Animated Series as opposed to the TV show where she’s basically 20 something.

That would make a lot of sense if they decide to go that route. Having only been superman for about five years, he would then have to teach his teenage cousin supergirl how to use her powers.

After seeing Justice League I was thinking that maybe they should make a multiverse movie. I am interested in seeing how Cavill, and Hoechlin would react to each other’s Superman. Does anyone else feel the same? It’s just a thought.
