This makes me happy to see ! The fanbase is largely behind Cavill! He’s my second-favorite live-action Superman (only behind Tom Welling), and I really hope he returns! Based on the Tweet from Dany Garcia and the statement from WB, I think there’s a good chance he does!

I love the poll results. It put a smile on my face. I’ll gladly support Henry Cavill as Superman any day of the week.
History is repeating itself. Back when the sequel for Superman Returns entered development hell everyone hoped Routh would be back. “The movie wasn’t his fault. Routh was great. They just need a better script etc…” It’s the same with Cavill now. Years down the road if, and when a decent Superman movie gets made, people will talk about Cavill the same way they do about Routh now. Well, it’s a pretty raw deal when you’ve got someone who is well cast for a part and the project just utterly fails them. An actor cannot shoulder the burden of quality for an entire film on their shoulders. As the later movies with Reeve but without Donner and Tom Mank’ basically proved. Reeve brought his A game each and every time but there are some things even Superman can’t lift by himself.
