On August 16 Warner Bros. Television released a statement announcing that Jordan Elsass would not be returning for Season 3 of “Superman & Lois,” with the role of Jonathan Kent to be recast.
“Jordan Elsass has notified the Studio that he will not be returning to Superman & Lois for season 3 due to personal reasons. The role of Jonathan Kent will be recast.”
Just who will be cast in the role has not yet been announced, however sharp-eyed Instagram users did notice that both the official CWSupermanAndLois Instagram account and Alex Garfin have both recently started following a young actor by the name of Julian Daniel Rees.
Not much is known about the UNCSA (University of North Carolina School of the Arts) graduate, whose Instagram account remains private, with just a small profile photo of the actor attached. Is Julian our new Jonatha Kent? We await an official announcement from The CW.
Production on Season 3 was scheduled to begin in September, with Season 3 of “Superman & Lois” set to premiere in early 2023.
