I think the drawings from your kids are a nice joyous little thing and I appreciate you sharing them with us. Also you’re right about how some kids see the shield where something about the design causes them to focus more on the negative spaces. For some I guess it lasts to adulthood because if I recall correctly John Byrne’s secret to getting his right is to build the symbol by drawing the negative spaces as opposed to drawing the s in the shield and then erasing the inner outline so it blends like other artists do. When I first started to draw superman’s S shield, I made his S shield an upside down triangle. It wasn’t until I was older that I realized that it was actually a diamond shape S shield. Although in his history,Superman has had an upside down triangle S shield.

I agree too. In everything.
Well…..cute kid stuff! But……I would find it exceptional if your young daughters can actually sit down and watch Supergirl this season and not get bored in about 5 minutes. The show has morphed into a female drama. This show as well as the other CW shows have women for the most part do nothing more than beat men up. The empowered female, the stronger than all men female, the smarter than all men female, the gay females. This theme has been running rampant through out the entertainment industry and has now become the norm. The only one who takes a… Read more »
