In regards to Christopher Reeve’s version of Superman, you say “cheesy’ I say classy. And what’s missing in this current version of Superman is class. As for Matthew Vaughn possibly being the new director, I noticed that so far for this week’s voting poll that there are allot of people who are for this director. I admit, I liked what Matthew said about brining back the light in Superman. Because that’s who he is. He’s someone who thrives in the light and inspires hope and goodness. Classy for 1978! That old time style would flop now a day. And I for one am sick and tired of the word “hope” applied to his character. It would be a tragedy if they tried to replicate the style of Donner’s time. And yes……there was an overwhelming amount of cheese-o-la in both 1 and 2. BUT again it was 1978! As for how he was used in the Justice League series. For the most part he got pounded on, knocked out, beat up, mentally taken over.
