Funko has given us a first look at their upcoming Target exclusive Funko Pop! DC: Heroes – Superman #557 [Funko Special Edition] vinyl figure.
The figure appears to be modeled after the black suit version of Superman from the “Superman: Lois and Clark” limited comic series. Written by Dan Jurgens with artwork by Lee Weeks, this eight-issue story marked the return of the post-Crisis versions of Superman and Lois Lane to DC’s continuity. These character iterations had been previously removed during DC’s New 52 relaunch in 2011.
After their universe was wiped from reality and replaced with the New 52 worlds that make up the Multiverse, Clark, Lois, and their son Jonathan have been transported to a new, different Earth. After remaining undercover for many years, Clark dons a black and silver suit and operates as Superman in secret.
