YouTuber Jose Argumedo has taken an episode of the 1940s Fleischer Superman cartoons, and upscaled it to 4K quality using an image upscaler known as Waifu2x.
Waifu2x uses deep convolutional neural networks, done completely with machine learning, to improve any animated vision.
Below is Jose’s upscaled version of the Fleischer Superman episode titled “The Bulleteers” from 1941.
Amazing! Hope to see an official release of these cartoons on bluray next year!

This 4k upscaling is really good, also the 8thmandvd channel on YouTube has some really good 4k Fleischer Superman upscaling also. Both look great on my 65in Sony 4k tv.
