Ferdinand Kingsley Joins DC’s “Supergirl” Movie as Elias Knoll

The upcoming “Supergirl” film continues to expand its cast with an exciting new addition. Ferdinand Kingsley, known for his role in Apple TV+’s acclaimed series “Silo”, has been tapped to play Elias Knoll, the father of Ruthye.

In Tom King’s acclaimed comic series “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”, Elias Knoll is a tragic figure—a farmer murdered by the villainous Krem of the Yellow Hills, setting his daughter Ruthye on a quest for justice that leads her to Supergirl. The character’s death serves as the emotional catalyst for the entire story.

The new “Supergirl” movie (originally titled “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”), will star “House of the Dragon” breakout Milly Alcock. The film will also star Eve Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura, with Jason Momoa making an appearance as Lobo. The film is said to be based on Tom King’s “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” comic book saga.

DC Studios has set a June 26, 2026 release date for “Supergirl”.
