Who is your favorite live-action Superman actor?
Even though there’s been a huge outpouring of emotion regarding the end of Henry Cavill’s run as Superman, Christopher Reeve is still by and far the most popular actor to have portrayed Superman in live-action, with 63% of the votes. Henry was second with 19%.

I really, really like Henry Cavill. But I voted for CHRISTOPHER REEVE because I love him. He is simply the best Superman. Hands down, no questions asked!

I’m a big fan of most of these: Cavill, Hoechlin, and Reeves were all great in their own way. Routh really could have been excellent if he had more of an opportunity. But I couldn’t vote against Reeve. He was so great with both identities.
I tend to evaluate Superman actors on how well they portray both identities. My admiration for Reeve’s performance is tempered by my preference for the Post-Crisis version of Clark. As good as Cavill was, we saw only very brief flashes of him playing Clark in Metropolis and at the Daily Planet. Hoechlin is an unusual situation in that we rarely see his Superman interact with people who don’t know the double identity.
The poll excluded Tom Welling but that makes sense, given that his show was pre-Superman.
