I have not as yet seen the extra long version. Donner himself has said that all the extra that was edited back in was unnecessary and basically cluttered it up with stuff that should have stayed on the cutting room floor. Now the second version that was for TV with an additional 11 minuted edited back in seems to have gone over well. So what is the difference between the 11 minute and the extra long version?
I’m pretty sure that the extended scenes include Krypton, Pa Kent and Clark, Some scenes of Superman flying( which are amazing), including a scene where he picks Jimmy up to take a picture of the damaged dam, the tunnel trap, extended Lex Luthor scenes( where he’s shown to have an aggressive abusive temper with Otis), and an extended Lois and Superman scene at the end before Jimmy shows up. I might have missed some. The extended cut is definitely worth watching, and I highly recommend it to any Superman fan. A must have movie for Superman fans.
I’ve never seen the Extended Cut so this time I couldn’t vote.
