With close to half the votes, “Superman: The Animated Series” was the clear favorite. “Justice League” and “Justice League Unlimited” came in second, with the Ruby Spears “Superman” cartoons of 1988 in third place.

I can see why Superman the animated series won 1st place on the voting ballot. And justice league/ justice league unlimited in second place is respectable. In third place the Ruby Spears superman animated show is not bad either.
