A second social media event calling for Warner Bros. to fast track another Superman film starring Henry Cavill will be taking place on January 7. Using #HenryCavillSuperman, fans are attempting to have the hashtag trending across the world.
A previous attempt saw the same hashtag reach around 43,000 tweets on Twitter.

Hashtag campaigns are nice and everything, but the best they can do is make sure the Snyder Cut is well-received. This might convince WB to pay Henry what he asks and it will give them a reason to at least push JJ, even if he wants to go with new talent.
Though this all depends on what their new plan of a multiverse will entail. They might prefer to keep Cavill for HBO cameos and make a clean break for theatrical releases.
I don’t use TWITTER. Is there another way we can show support for Cavill to return as Superman? I will do whatever it takes in terms of supporting his return as the greatest superhero, aka Superman!
Really hope he gets another shot at a solo movie. I love ‘Man of Steel’, but I always felt as if there was an entire movie’s worth of story missing between it and ‘Batman v Superman’. It’s probably too late to plug that gap now, but it’s not too late to come up with a great, all-new story for him. (Not sure JJ Abrams is the right person to do that, though …)
Can we have a social media event to call for Brandon Routh to return as Superman for an HBO max series or movie trilogy? Or both? I would even watch a Brandon Routh Superman meets Henry Cavill Superman movie. I mean think of the success that could bring. A multiverse movie about multiple Supermen meeting. Marvel is trying to do that with Spiderman, so why not do that with Superman? It could be the biggest Superman movie in decades. Maybe we can start a #BrandonRouthSuperman. I’m all for Henry getting another shot at the character, but I just want to say that I don’t want JJ Abrams or any of his disciples (Kurtzman, lindelof) anywhere near Superman. After watching how well 2 seasons of the mandalorian were done and comparing that to the sequel trilogy and how the Star Trek properties have been handled by JJ and his team, I’m convinced more than ever that they’re better off doing their own Original stuff. I wouldn’t pick JJ either, but he’s not the worst choice; as long as they don’t let him anywhere near the script. Keep him on a tight leash when he’s doing small rewrites and adjustments during shooting. Rey’s introduction in Episode VII is still some really good visual storytelling you don’t see a lot of in movies these days. This shows that he’s at least competent, when you know what to do with him. I’m personally more concerned with why they want JJ, to be honest. Uh…he’s still Superman. He recently renegotiated a new deal involving playing the character. They just don’t have any room on the slate for another solo Superman film…yet.
Until then, he is scheduled to appear in other yet-to-be-disclosed DC films…
Not been any official word which is why we’re running this campaign. We want to know the deal from the horses mouth not scoopers.
We have three giant problems as of late. First, the cost and profit margins that these movies require. Second, the NEW way that movies are seen. So far, streaming and theater shut downs haven’t panned out as a positive. Third, the WB has recently released what’s on it’s plate regarding DC and it’s upcoming features. Reboot for me all the way. Cavill was mediocre at best in the role imo, and his chemistry with his costars was nearly non existent. Particularly Amy Adams as Lois. Not to mention a universe that has Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor is almost reason enough alone to reboot. He had his chance. Three of them to be exact. Four if you count the Snyder Cut. It’s unfortunate because he seems like a good guy and good ambassador for the character, but it’s time to move on as far as I’m concerned.
Well…..it was a re-boot after all. They can’t keep making the same movie every time. To an extent they tried that with SR. I for one don’t want some obscure version of this character but I fear that’s what if any, may be coming. But I will stand by what I’ve previously said. Until they can figure out how to make these movies at a much cheaper cost or come up with a way to make a profit, you can rest assured that the brakes have been put on going forward. Fine with Henry but not with Snyder.
I would have loved to see a MoS sequel and done by Snyder!
Also fine with Henry and I’m happy for Zack that he gets to finish, but I’ll be happy once he moves on. Also I don’t want JJ. He’s another step in the wrong direction.
