Fan Ratings for “Superman: Year One #1” – Poll Results

In the latest Superman Homepage Member Poll we asked you the following question:

How would you rate the first issue of the 3-part “Superman: Year One” comic book miniseries?

While the majority of those who voted haven’t read it yet, of those who have, the majority rated the first issue a 4/5. I do find it interesting that so many people aren’t planning on reading it… or don’t read comic books at all.

Let me be clear. I don’t mind if the comic is awesome or it’s just trashcan material. I’m not going to read it. I just don’t want Frank Miller nor JR Jr. involved in something that has Superman in his pages. And less when there is both of them at the same time. It’s a matter of ethics and dignity for me as a reader but for the Superman franchise as well.

And that horrible art is present again in the pages of Year One#1. On the other hand we have Frank Miller who has already stated that he doesn’t like Superman. And has treated him that way whenever Superman has appeared in his comices. Those are my reasons for not wanting them on any comic that has Superman in his pages. And when DC forces them together in a comic, sorry but no… Read more »

It’s all good.

No worries. I understand.

I am wondering on why would they hire someone to work on Superman if he doesn’t even like Superman? That is a good point that you bring.
