In the latest Superman Homepage Member Poll we asked you the following question:

How would you rate Season 2 of “Krypton” as a whole?

34% of you thought that Season 2 of “Krypton” was Excellent… and I’d have to agree. Sadly, a similar percentage never watched the show this season, which is probably why ratings weren’t where they needed to be for Syfy to renew it for a third season.

Some Superman fans fans need to get out from under the rock they’ve been living in and learn to give Superman-related projects that don’t have Clark in it a chance. The fact that there was such a dip in viewership in the first place says a lot about not just casuals, but the so-called “hardcore” fandom, as well.

Once I fell behind after the first episode of the first season, there was no real place for me to catch up on and syfy only stream the newer episodes so once they were gone that was it. I wanted to keep up with it, but aside from subscribing to the DC streaming site, which I have no intention of doing at the moment, I couldn’t really catch up. Wasn’t bad from the little bit I saw, but selling people on a Superman show is difficult. I stuck with 10 years of smallville for that tiny payoff at the end… Read more »

Well with all due respect to Krypton the series, I think it says that fans and “casuals” want a Superman show with Superman actually in it AS Superman with no “clever” caveats. Why is this viewed as some radical notion? Also, why should Supermans fans always be expected to settle for just any old thing with an S slapped on it or scraps from the table? If there was such a series or that had been one made recently and it was good it might be easier for fans to give non-Clark projects a chance because in that instance it… Read more »

While I do hope that this show gets picked up by another network or streaming service somehow, I just don’t think that it will unfortunately.
If it happens to get picked up, then I will be thrilled to see more of the story. Unfortunately I just don’t see it continuing. I hope I’m wrong though.
