How would you rate the “Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part One” animated movie?

Over half of you haven’t seen “Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part One” and don’t plan to, with another 27% also not having seen it yet but planning to get around to it sooner or later. While I have no doubt that anime is popular, and gather the RWBY characters have a following of their own, I guess Superman fans just don’t have much interest in either.

I always miss the polls on this site. To be fair I probably wouldn’t participate in most of them but every now and then there’s a poll I would vote in such as this one. I watched this when it came out and it wasn’t what I was expecting. I had two problems with it 1) I didn’t know enough about RWBY or the characters at the time to understand their side of the story and 2) The Justice League characters weren’t really their authentic selves which made it feel less like a true crossover. I’ve been checking this site to see if there would be a review of this movie but if there was I missed it.

Honestly if there was a review and reviewer knew next to nothing about RWBY they might not enjoy it as much as someone who does.

It could actually be interesting to read a column where a couple of contributors to this site discuss the movie. With one contributor who knows the ins and outs of RWBY and the other contributor knows next to nothing.

So I just watched this movie for a second time after I finished watching RWBY Volumes 1-9 and I have to say I enjoyed it a lot more this time. Knowing the characters from RWBY and their relationships and history with each other made this movie work a lot better for me than it did the first time. The thing about doing a crossover like this is you can’t really do much in the way of character development or plot advancement for either property.
