In the latest Superman Homepage Member Poll we asked you the following question:

Would you like to see Nicolas Cage appear as an older Superman in “The Flash” movie?

Looks like most fans do not want to see Nicolas Cage appear as Superman, with 37% saying NO! Interestingly, 23% were all in favor of the idea… So I guess it’s not that clear cut.

As interesting as it would be to see Nicolas Cage as Superman, I would rather see Brandon Routh return to the role of Superman. That’s not to say I’m against Nick playing the role. Like I said in a separate comment section, there’s certainly enough room for more than one version of Superman in movies, tv shows or HBOmax.
Bring back Brandon Routh for Superman!!!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, at this point, I think Nicolas Cage should spend his energy lobbying for an animated film adaptation of “Superman Lives” whereby he (Cage) is the voice of Superman. The character design could be in the “likeness” of Cage as he was in the old footage of him in the Superman suit. It could be an Else World animated movie. I’d definitely support it.
