With Henry Cavill announcing he’s back as Superman, with a new film in development at Warner Bros., fans are sticking loyal with Zack Snyder, with 27% wanting the “Man of Steel” director back for a follow-up film. Christopher McQuarrie was a close second.

I dunno. I just turned seventy and I’d like to see it before I die. Hopefully, If he gets the gig (and it looks very likely that he will) we won’t have to wait 5 or 6 years before it hits the theaters.
Why is JJ Abrams not on this list?
Snyder was fine. I enjoy Snyder’s style of filmmaking. And he gave us a different kind of Superman who had self-doubt and tried to find himself. However, now we will be getting a “Joyful and hopeful” Superman. Therefore, we need a director with a different style who will explore and expand on the joyful and hopeful Superman that Henry Cavill wants (which is what a lot of us want too).
