I had a lot of problems with Smallville and I mean A LOT, but their casting and portrayals of Lex, Lois and Jonathan Kent have been some of my favorites in all of Superman media.
I liked most of the casting for that show, but those three were the standouts for me.
Erica had that Lois Lane spunk that both Margot Kidder and Teri Hatcher had and that Kate boseorth and Amy Adams Lacked.

I agree. As Lois, especially in the later seasons, Erica was the total package. She had that quality from the classic Lois Lane’s while also looking like she walked out of a Dan Jurgens panel.
