In early 1973, DC Comics published a special oversized comic titled “The Amazing World of Superman – Official Metropolis Edition”, and that spring, a gallery named “The Amazing World of Superman” opened, intended to be a cornerstone for a proposed theme park of the same name. However, the attraction closed in 1974 due in part to the economic recession, and reduction in sightseeing road travel caused by the oil crisis of the time, and the theme park never happened.
Now, in early 2021, DC is set to reprint the brilliant retelling of Superman’s origin story in its original, tabloid-size format for the first time!
This tabloid-size masterpiece includes the story of Superman Land with Lex Luthor, Superboy stories, “How to Draw Superman”, “Superman Family Portrait”, and more!
Look for the “The Amazing World of Superman (Tabloid Edition)” to be released on April 13, 2021.
