DC Mourns Passing of Artist Robson Rocha

The comic book world is mourning the death of artist Robson Rocha, who passed away on Sunday after a struggle with COVID-19.

Having broken into the comic book industry in 2010, 41 year old Rocha, who was hospitalized in Brazil just two weeks ago, was memorialized across the internet by friends and colleagues alike.

A statement from DC Comics reads: “DC is heartbroken to hear of the passing of Robson Rocha. As tributes pour in from his friends and fans, we’re reminded that he was not only an extraordinary artist, but a beloved member of the comic book community and the DC family. We will miss him dearly.”

In other sad news, legendary character actor, William Smith, also recently passed away. Smith voiced the role of Draaga, Superman’s adversary in the animated series “Justice League” – in the episodes “War World” and “War World: Part II” – which first aired in 2002.

Such sad news about artist Robson Rocha and voice actor William Smith. My condolences to their friends and especially to their families. May they both rest in peace.
