DC Comics Stretches Out “Superman & The Authority” Publication

Superman & The Authority

After feedback from retailers, DC Comics has decided to stretch out the release of future issues of “Superman & The Authority”.

In a communiqué to retailers, DC will publish future issues of “Superman & The Authority” monthly, instead of bi-monthly as originally solicited.

Newsarama reports that this will allow retailers to gauge how their customers are responding to the first two issues before finalizing orders for the final two issues of the series.

The new schedule for release of the 4-issue miniseries is now as follows:

“Superman & The Authority #1” will be released on July 20 as planned. Issue #2 will now be released on August 17 (originally August 3), with issue #3 out September 14 (instead of August 17). The fourth and final issue will be released on September 28 (originally September 7).

Sometimes even Superman finds a task almost impossible. Sometimes even the Last Son of Krypton needs to enlist help. Some tasks require methods and heroes that don’t scream ‘Justice League’. So Clark Kent, the Metropolis Marvel, seeks out Manchester Black, the most dastardly of rogues, to form an all-new Authority tasked with taking care of some business on the sly.
