On September 12, as part of DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse, DC premiered a trailer for the “Dark Nights: Death Metal” soundtrack during the “Take A Tour Of DC’s Death Metal Metalverse” panel. The soundtrack was described as a companion to the seven-issue comic book series of the same name.

The music is also featured on a series of animated shorts based on the “Dark Nights: Death Metal” comic book series, with episode 1 available to watch online now:

With issue #4 of “Dark Nights: Death Metal” available today, a page in the back of the book reveals the entire voice cast of the animated shorts, with David Hasselhoff (best known for his role in TV shows like Knight Rider and Baywatch) voicing the role of Superman.

If you’re unfamiliar with the comic book story, our heroes are fighting to save not only the DC Universe, but the entire Multiverse from the evil Perpetua and The Batman Who Laughs, who have recreated reality to their own vision.

Episodes of the “Dark Nights: Death Metal” animated shorts will continue to be released via DCDeathMetal.World and on DC’s YouTube channel.

Wow … That does not seem like a serious casting choice …

This is very interesting. I look forward to see what the Hoff brings to the table for Superman. 🙂
