The epic 2-night, 4-way “Crisis on Earth-X” crossover between “Supergirl”, “Arrow”, “The Flash”, an “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” saw a boost in ratings for all four shows across both Monday and Tuesday night in the USA.
“Supergirl” was watched by 2.65 million total viewers, earning a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic. That’s an increase of 40% in overall viewers and 80 percent in that demographic.
Part 2 of the crossover saw “Arrow” move from its usual Thursday timeslot to follow “Supergirl” at 9.00pm, with 2.54 million viewers sticking around, giving the episode a 0.9 rating.
The following night “The Flash” (0.9, 2.7 million) saw less of a boost on its usual numbers, but was still up in both measures.
While “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” which served as the conclusion of the four-part crossover, pulled in a 0.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 2.8 million viewers. That is an increase of nearly 90% in both measures compared to last week’s episode of the series.
The CW released the following behind-the-scenes video for the “Supergirl” episode of the crossover.
This was a blast. Not to say it was perfect but man it was cool. Superman better be in the next one though.
They can do what ever as long as we don’t have to sit through two men kissing. Absolutely sickening.
Maybe you would be more at home on Earth X.
and yet no complaints about the two women kissing… just look away for a couple of seconds… its over pretty quick
Yes…we don’t need that either. But the CW via these four superhero shows is trying to lead the way by forcing the liberal Hollywood agenda of acceptance down our throats. Look….I don’t care what people do, I just don’t want to see this obvious attempt at show boating or calling attention to themselves regarding this activity.
Is it show boating or an agenda when straight people kiss?
Time for number crunching…
The four shows averaged 0.9 in the ratings (consistency and easy to average). And in terms of millions of viewers…2.67…a hit by CW standards at least.
And yeah this crossover was way better than last year.
And Matt, I hope Superman gets involved next time…and maybe as far as Supergirl goes, give the Manhunter a shot.
RobertAnthony, yeah I’m with you there J’Onn needs to be included to. Diggle’s reaction to him changing forms would be priceless. Actually what if next years crossover took it’s the Earth 1 heroes bopping over to Earth 38 to help out instead of the other way around? In addition of course to whatever other worlds might be involved.
(Also wouldn’t mind Clark getting a chance to teach Zoom some manners after that smack talking he did about him in this crossover.)
Sorry that one sentence got horribly garbled because of a chunk left over from a deleted sentence. It should read “Actually what for next years crossover it’s the Earth 1 heroes bopping over to Earth 38 to help out instead of the other way around?”
I think you meant to say “HOPPING over…” but I get your point.
I think that Zoom only said he beat Superman to make Kara irritated. There’s no way he’s faster than Clark.
I’d still like to see Clark lay some big blue beatdown on Zoom regardless (even better show Clark out smarting him). Also, I guess a skeptical part of me couldn’t help but wonder if that line was in there as yet another case of “How do we make this character look badass? I know, say he can beat Superman!” *groan*.
You bring up a good point Mattcomics. They yet to have a crossover in Superman’s universe. I think that at some point they will include him in the next crossover event.
I really hope so. That it is my no.1 potentially unreasonable demand for the next time.
