Who's Who in the Superman Comics

The Royal Flush Gang

The Royal Flush Gang is a long-established villainous group that has repeatedly challenged the Justice League, including Superman. While its roster often changes, the theme remains the same. Originally organized by Professor Amos Fortune, the RFG has utilized advanced technology to commit spectacular crimes. Usually, the Royal Flush Gang includes a five-person roster: a King, a Queen, a Jack, an Ace, and a Ten. The black spade is the RFG's usual insignia, and regardless of the roster, members get around by flying on hoverboards shaped like cards.

Depending on the incarnation, The Royal Flush Gang has been affiliated with Prof. Amos Fortune, or The Joker. Even a new version of The Gambler, duped the Gang into his schemes by taking advantage of the similarities between his outfit and that of The Joker's. Barking orders in the shadows, The RFG members thought they were led by the Clown Prince of Crime himself. This version of the team was defeated by The Teen Titans. Overall, The Royal Flush Gang remains an exclusive opponent of the Justice League, Batman, and the Man of Steel himself.

First Appearance: Justice League of America #43 (October 1990)
