The Superman Homepage Indicator of Excellence in Literature and Design Awards

The voting booth for our 16th annual awards ceremony for the world of Superman has closed!

Voting began on November 9, 2016 and ended at 11.59pm on December 7, 2016.

Prize The 2016 SHIELD Awards gave you, the fans, the opportunity to voice your opinions about comics with a 2016 cover date, Superman related Movies, TV shows, and Superman merchandise released in 2016.

Everyone who voted in the 2016 SHIELD Awards automatically went into the draw for a chance to win a prize pack consisting of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" Ultimate Cut on Blu-ray and "Supergirl: The Complete First Season" on DVD.

There could only be one winner and that person is: Michael Ho

The results have been forwarded on to DC Comics, Warner Bros., The CW, and the various winners. Congratulations to those creative people involved!

It's little surprise to see Melissa Benoist take out the Best "Supergirl" Actor category. It is interesting to see that Calista Flockhart came in at second spot, ahead of David Harewood. No love for Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen.
