The Superman Homepage Indicator of Excellence in Literature and Design Awards

The voting booth for our 6th annual awards ceremony for the world of Superman has closed!

Voting began on November 1st 2006 and ended December 3rd 2006.

The 2006 SHIELD Awards gave you, the fans, the opportunity to voice your opinions about comics with a 2006 cover date and other Superman-related merchandise released in 2006.

Action Figure Set Everyone who voted in the 2006 SHIELD Awards automatically went into the draw for a chance to win a Superman Through the Ages Action Figure Set.

There could only be one winner and that person is: Scott Lopez

The results have been forwarded on to DC Comics and the various winners. Congratulations to those creative people involved!

BEST REGULAR SUPERMAN TITLE

"Superman" just edged out "Action Comics" for the title of "Best Regular Superman Title" in this year's SHIELD Awards. There were only a handful of votes between them.

While "JLA" had won the award over the past 5 years, the title's successor "Justice League of America" took the No. 1 spot, beating out the last remaining 2006 issues of "JLA" for the award.
