At The Outsider's base, the Premiere Building in Hollywood, California, Garth "Gar" Logan/Beast Boy is seen reminiscing over his past relationship with Perdita Vladeq, Queen of Vlatava. Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl thinks that maybe this isn't the best mission for his comeback, but Gar is adamant on him and the rest of The Outsiders (Conner Kent/Superboy, Tara Markov/Terra, Cassandra "Cassie" Sandsmark/Wonder Girl, and Victor Stone/Cyborg) saving the Queen. Two days earlier, we see the events that transpired: Queen Perdita arrived at Star City for an economic conference, an embassy dinner, and a tour of S.T.A.R Labs, and to ensure her protection, Bowhunter Security were hired. Roy Harper/Arsenal, Will Harper/Red Arrow, Jim Harper, and Harlan Matthews/Clayface are all present, and while Roy doesn't seem to be taking it too seriously, Will takes it personally. Meanwhile, at Markovburg's prison, Werner Vertigo/Count Vertigo arranges an escape for him and his henchmen, and leaves with nary a problem. Back at S.T.A.R Labs, Perdita reveals that the lab's board of directors want to open a facility in Vlatavastok, and that she wants to see what they have to offer. After a pleasant introduction to Dr. Sterling Roquette (who reveals she too shops at Forever Sixteen), Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, and Dinah Lance/Black Canary, the place is suddenly attacked by Vertigo's armored soldiers, who had saved him from the prison as stated before. Despite valiant efforts, the heroes are taken out, and Perdita is kidnapped. Will swears to make it right. In a flashback to ten years earlier, it is then revealed why Will is so heavily involved: He had failed to save Perdita's father thanks to Lawrence "Crusher" Crock/Sportsmaster, and feels he cannot fail her again...

At the Royal Memorial Hospital in Star City, November 9th, 18:02 PST, Harlan, Jim, Artemis, Will, Cissie and Roy think over the kidnapping of Queen Perdita, and the attack that has bedded Dr. Roquette, Oliver, and Dinah. Artemis is sure of Sportmaster's culpability, and the group believes the attack was targeted on Oliver and Dinah. Unsure of why Vertigo would kidnap Perdita, the group is suddenly contacted by Oracle, who connects them to a call with the League, the Team, and the Outsiders. King Byron tells the heroes not to enter Markovia, as they are not granted permission to enter it, and that he will handle it himself. Of course, the league decides to send a covert team (Nightwing, Spoiler, Orphan, Mist, with Thirteen missing as she is on Doctor Fate duty), as Black Lightning explains to Vic. Gar wants to go, no matter what anyone says, but Cassie manages to get him to stay put for now, promising he will go with them to save Perdita. She checks on the team she sent to Paris, and Robin says they are closing on the target. Bryon takes his team, The Infinitors, to get Perdita out right away. Baazovi is unsure, but is convinced by the team, though he reminds Byron he must wait with his vengeance against Vertigo. The Infinitors find the cabins where Perdita is located, and after a not so tough battle, Byron leaves with Perdita. Trajectory however goes to Baazovi in a different area, both seemingly doing something suspect. And then Pedita gets a strange, evil look... A flashback reveals Oliver's role that day in the assasination of Perdita's father. He was planning to propose to Dinah, when he saw a familiar evil face. He arrived late, but managed to at least protect Perdita...

Back at The Outsider's base, "Queen Perdita" (that is, her imposter) and King Byron notify the team that Perdita is safe, and that Count Vertigo will be brought to justice. Despite the assurances, Beast Boy can't help but be suspicious, saying that Perdita hadn't asked about any of the other victims of the kidnapping. Wonder Girl agrees that it's odd, and asks Raptor Squad for a report. Raptor Squad (Robin/Tim Drake, El Dorado, and Looker) report in, having found Joe Henchy, a Vertigo Henchman who they suspect could have helped Vertigo escape. Meanwhile, at the Royal Memorial Hospital, Nightwing, Spoiler, Mist and Orphan, undercover as a United Nations commission, receive more information about the comatose patients, and find that the five all were working at a mining camp in Krastmala. At Markovburg, Byron shows "Perdita" to her room, assigning Jet and Lizard Johnny, his two best cadets, to be outside her door. Back in Paris, Raptor Squad reports Looker's findings, and they're not good: Joe Henchy had been planning to break Vertigo out, and the two were in constant communication, but they hadn't figured anything out, which means that Vertigo had been broken out. Further more, Vertigo can't gain the crown from kidnapping or killing Perdita. Wonder Girl wonders what this could possibly mean. At the castle, Byron chides The Infinitors for failing to catch a single kidnapper, when suddenly he finds out "Perdita" is gone. Everyman and Trajectory smile conspiratorialy at each other. At Krastmala, Nightwing, Spoiler, Mist and Orphan all find an underground branch of the river the mining camp had discovered, and gather data, when they are attacked by six of the same armored goons that kidnapped Perdita and busted out Vertigo. Orphan destroys one, to Nightwing's alarm, only to reveal they are robots. As the rest of the team takes them out, Nightwing calls Oracle and Robin for intel on the bots, whose tech is way beyond Vertigo's capabilities. An answer is soon found, and not one anyone wanted: Lex Luthor has been behind this all along... In the third memory flashback to the day Perdita lost her father, Arrowette, who knows of the story as it's prime Arrow Family lore, recounts how Green Arrow had managed to motivate and sooth a young Perdita before getting struck by arrows from Merlyn. Tigress then calls Arrowette, saying it's mission time...

At The Outsider's base, Oracle, Nightwing, Robin and Cyborg report in on their findings, informing the team that the mining company in Krastmala had found something big, something that Perdita, Green Arrow and Black Canary agreed to keep secret and exchange (seeing as the latter two were the former's oldest friends in the Justice League). However, the intel has somehow been leaked, and the heroes believe Luthor to be behind it. While Ray Palmer/The Atom and Karen Beecher/Bumblebee run tests to find out what exactly Perdita had that was so important, The Outsiders decide to go to Luthor's factory in Bialya, due to the Justice League not being allowed in there. With some help from Cyborg, The Outsiders head to the factory. Stargirl asks Beast Boy if he's really able to stage his comeback in such a personal mission to him, but Gar promises that he's focused only on saving Perdita, and not on their personal history. Meanwhile, at Royal Memorial Hospital, Lian Nguyen-Harper and Paula Crock arrive to visit 'Uncle Ollie' and the others, Lian hoping to comfort Oliver. At Madinat Altharwati, Bialya, The Outsiders (Beast Boy, Superboy, Wonder Girl and Stargirl) attack the robot guards. Terra, stating that every second spent outside risks Perdita further, urges the rest to go inside the factory while she handles the guards outside. Entering the factory, the team find Onslaught (Devastation, Mammoth, Shimmer, and new member and failed Superboy clone Match) guarding the facilities, and a fight ensues. Outside, Terra realizes she needs backup, and calls the other team members (Static, Blue Beetle, Forager, Windfall, Livewire, and Bart Allen/Kid Flash) to help her fight the robots. While Stargirl takes on Shimmer, Wondergirl takes on Devastation, Beast Boy takes on Mammoth, and Superboy struggles with Match, Oracle reports to Superboy about Ray and Karen's findings, and they spell bad news. Perdita was carrying some form of Kryptonite. As Match faints, Superboy finds himself face to face with Juan Cordero... Metallo... Meanwhile, Lian tells 'Uncle Ollie' the fourth memory of the day Perdita lost her father, a story that already has a known ending. In the flashback, Oliver takes an arrow to the ankle, Perdita bandages him, and the two are attacked by Merlyn and Joe Henchy. While Henchy gets taken out, Merlyn is face to face with the two heroes, threatening to kill them both...
