    Jokerized villains are dying from lengthy exposure to the Joker's toxin. Black Canary learns that the doctor jokingly diagnosed the Joker with a Brain Tumor! While the Joker brings about a crazy rain to fall on San Francisco, jokerizing the population.

    Greystoke, Lois Lane and Jane are taken captive by Princess La when their plane crash lands. Kal-El thinking the plane was from Krypton goes searching for them. Lois takes Kal-El back to Metropolis, while Jane decides to stay with Greystoke in the jungle.

    Continuing his assignment, Ty Duffy interviews Jimmy Olsen about the day of Superman's death. He also interviews a retired Sergeant who was badly injured on that day, to get an angle on the story that has never been told before... the injury and death of innocent bystanders.

    Jimmy investigates stories of a new monster, and discovers that the Tech has joined two villains, Sledge and Killgrave, at the head when they were both killed fighting each other. The newly joined villains aren't happy about their new life together, for obvious reasons.

    2325: Batman and his son try to piece together clues left behind by his late wife. Clues that were designed to bring about the return of Batman and Robin and ultimately re-unite B.J. and Kara in the afterlife.

    A woman and her children are given a message by an underworl drug dealer calling himself GOD. The woman, being very religious, thinks the message is really from God, and takes the money from the deal for herself and her children... Jimmy and the Tech get involved.

    Lena finally leaves Jimmy's wrist, and goes off to do some good... She finds a couple whose baby daughter has just died, and returns their child to them... Lena leads Jimmy to the story...

    Lara exposes herself to Gold Kryptonite to remove her powers so that Ator will love her, however when Lex Luthor gets free and takes over the Superman Museum, Ator is killed and Lara can do nothing to save him.

    Jor-El and Lara contemplate what is to become of their son... They launch the rocketship to send him to Earth... In his mid-twenties, Clark Kent is a young journalist on assignment in West Africa, where he befriends Kobe Asura, an equal rights activist whose life is in danger.

    Superman returns to Earth after 500 years, finds his granddaughter and Batman who have just beaten the latest horde of Parademons. The two fill Superman in on what has happened since he was last on Earth. Superman realizes the answer to the Parademon attacks lies in the past.

    Lena clones herself a body, and turns up naked in Metropolis. Tech all around Metropolis starts to fail without her presence. Jimmy rescues Lena from the police station, and the two fall in love. To save lives and return the tech to normal, Superman brings the real baby Lena Luthor to meet the tech Lena, and convince her to return to her mechanical form. Jimmy hates Superman for doing this.

  • Superman: Birthright #2 [of 12] (October)
    Mark Waid, Leinil Francis Yu, Gerry Alanguilan
    Clark convinces Kobe Asura and his people not to march in protest, but to use the Press as a means to get their message across. However Kobe's enemies attack his village while he is speaking, meaning Clark must take action, but while he does so, Kobe is killed in cold blood. Clark realizes that he mustn't hide who he really is.

    Meaning to travel into the future, something is wrong with the time stream, and Superman is sent back to Smallville's early days, where he finds Scott Free and Metron! Events unfold involving Jonathan Kent and Martha, but Superman is warned not to get involved.

    Superman and Jimmy have a deep and meaningful chat about recent events. Jimmy comes to realize just how human Superman is, while Superman realizes that "Lena" and Jimmy mean a lot to each other.     Clark returns home after seven years away, and gets Martha to help him design a costume for him. Jonathan is less than happy about his son's decision, and the two confront each other on Jonathan's feelings. Together they work on protecting Clark's identity in his new chosen path.

  • Superman & Batman: Generations III #9 [of 12] (November)
    John Byrne, John Byrne, John Byrne
    A wounded Parademon separated from his fellow soldiers is helped by a blind old woman, and tells her of his cloned birth on Apokolips, how he and his kind were given free will and intelligence, and of the re-birth of Darkseid. The old woman kills the Parademon, and then reveals herself to be Lara, Superman's granddaughter.

  • Superman: Metropolis #8 [of 12] (November)
    Chuck Austen, Teddy Kristiansen, Teddy Kristiansen
    The Tech shutsdown as Lena does a deal with Professor Killgrave, giving him total control of Sledge's body, while she takes over Rebecca Muldoon's body, putting Sledge and Rebecca's minds within the Tech. Jimmy, joined by the Creeper, finds Lena close to death.

  • Superman: Birthright #4 [of 12] (December)
    Mark Waid, Leinil Francis Yu, Gerry Alanguilan
    Clark meets Lois, Jimmy and Perry White in the Daily Planet. He's immediately smitten with Lois. Impresses Perry in his interview. When military helicopters start shooting at civillians, Clark goes into action as Superman, saving Lois and Jimmy.

  • Superman & Batman: Generations III #10 [of 12] (December)
    John Byrne, John Byrne, John Byrne
    When Metron returns to New Genesis, it's only to get there in time to witness Darkseid kill half the population. He manages to use his Mobius Chair to locate Superman before he dies. Superman travels to New Genesis to help them fight Darkseid. However Darkseid kills them all, including Superman's two children and his wife Beautiful Dreamer.

  • Superman: Metropolis #9 [of 12] (December)
    Chuck Austen, Teddy Kristiansen, Teddy Kristiansen
    Jimmy stays by Lena's side in the hospital, when he is contacted by Rebecca through his signal watch. He tries to get her to use the Tech to revive Lena in her body, but Dr Killgrave infiltrates the B13 technology, destroys both Rebecca and Sledge before killing Lena.

Here is a listing of the regular Superman titles since the John Byrne 1986 mini-series Man of Steel up until the post-Flashpoint relaunch in 2011. For accuracy almost every entry is based upon actually looking in the issue, and not memory or another source.

This listing is done in the order for when a comic book issue was published.

Note: Remember, the month dates are from the issue covers, not the actual date when the comic was on sale.
