Reign of the Supermen

Four new superbeings arrive in Metropolis to replace Superman. One is revealed to be the Cyborg. A revived Superman returns to stop the Cyborg.

    Fortress robots revive an entity; the entity goes to Superman's tomb and gains energy, sees Superman's body, and detects hidden circuitry and a passageway in the tomb; Bibbo decides to act as a crimefighter in Superman's place; Luthor and Supergirl learn Superman's tomb has been found empty again; Last Son of Krypton goes to Metropolis using violence against crooks, and claiming to Lois that he is Superman, but that Clark Kent is gone.

    Cyborg Superman meets the Mayor and Dr. Faulkner at S.T.A.R., learns Cadmus has Doomsday's body, and breaks into Cadmus to get the body; Cyborg Superman straps Doomsday to a meteor and sends it on a trajectory into space, then says to Lois he is Superman; Emil's tests show the Cyborg Superman's machinery is kryptonian and his DNA matches Superman's; on the asteroid, Doomsday has revived.

This listing is done in the order for when a comic book issue was published.

Note: Remember, the month dates are from the issue covers, not the actual date when the comic was on sale.
