    After a heart-to-heart talk with Jonathan, Clark goes off to play with Krypto. Three strangers come to help out on the Kent Farm, and are soon revealed to be Supermen of the future who have come back in time to stop the Chronovore. Their real aim is to keep Clark from needing to fight, so that he'd be near Jonathan who dies from a heart attack.

  • All Star Superman #7 (June)
    Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely, Jamie Grant
    Faceless Bizarros attack Superman, with one of them taking on his powers and appearance once touching him, as the Bizarro's cubed planet gets nearer to Earth. All over Earth Bizarros are attacking people and taking on their appearance. Due to performance enhancing pills he's been taking, Steve Lombard is immune to the Bizarro's touch. With the Bizarro's weakened by sunlight, Superman turns the cubed-planet's oceans on an angel to reflect the sun on Earth, before heading to the cubed-planet where he meets Zibarro, a backwards-backwards (i.e. normal) Bizarro.

  • All Star Superman #8 (August)

    Stranded on the Bizarro world, which is quickly sinking back to the Underverse, Superman desperately tries to find a way back to Earth with Zibarro's help. It isn't until he embraces the Bizarro way of communicating that he gets Bizarro Superman and the other Bizarro's help in building a rocket that will fly him back to Earth. Meanwhile, Lois discovers Superman is dying, and when the Bizarro world vanishes in to the Underverse, she thinks Superman is lost forever.

  • All Star Superman #9 (December)
    Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely, Jamie Grant
    Returning to Earth, Superman finds two Kryptonians (Bar-El and Lilo) have taken his place as protectors of the planet... However they only see Earth as a place to re-build Krypton, and look down upon the human population. Angry and disappointed with Superman, they attack him, cracking the moon and throwing Superman to Earth. But the two Kryptonians are suffering from Kryptonite toxins in their bodies which is killing them. Realizing the error of their ways, the two apologize to Superman, before he transfers them into their Phantom Zone, where they can keep law and order amongst the criminals there.
